Gunshot Death Being Probed

Panama City police are investigating a body which was found Friday morning in a second floor room of the Value Lodge Motel at 4810 West Highway 98 in St. Andrews.

Initial reports say the body of a man was found around 9 a.m. It appeared he had been shot at least once.

Panama City police sealed off the area and have been conducting a full investigation. The body was taken to the local medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

It’s not known if it is a homicide or if the wound could have been self-inflicted. That final determination hasn’t been made yet.

The man's identity is being withheld at this time.
