A Panama City Beach restaurant will be closed for at least one night after a fire broke out Saturday afternoon.

More than a dozen employees of Saltwalter Grill on Middle Beach Road were evacuated just after 3:00 when fire broke out in vent shaft the kitchen. One employee said the incident happened when the grill was first started up. He said that's when flames shot out and overtook the area.

A restaurant manager said they hope to open next week. More than 500 guests who were part of wedding parties and banquets were displaced Saturday night.

The good news is all of the fish in the restaurant's massive aquarium survived.
