It's known as the deadliest intersection in Panama City Beach. Last week there was a three-car pileup at Beckrich and Back Beach Roads. Sunday night paramedics responded to that intersection once again.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. They say a white Toyota truck with three passengers was turning left onto Beckrich Road and a gold colored Chrysler, also with three passengers, was headed east on Back Beach Road.

They collided and troopers are still investigating who was at fault. They have not ruled out that alcohol may have played a role. One person from each vehicle was taken to local hospitals in critical condition.

Officials with the Department of Transportation are doing a study on this intersection to see how it can be made safer, but the results have not yet been released.
