A man arrested for shooting and robbing a taxi driver in Callaway this week was out of jail as part of community control.
Scottie Ash is charged with robbing the cabbie and shooting him in the leg on Tuesday night.
He and an accomplice were arrested by police a short time later.
A check of his record shows Ash served ten years in prison for a 1992 armed robbery. He was ten placed on community control for 18 years.
Since his release two years ago, Ash has been arrested several more times. Most of those arrested wound up with Ash paying fines and the cases being dropped.
He has yet to come to trial for a 2002 child abuse arrested and a 2004 battery arrest.
