Saturday's gloomy weather didn't prevent smiles on the faces of those who turned out for Glenwood's First Annual Fun Day.
Hundreds gathered at Henry Davis Park Saturday to have some fun and celebrate Black History Month.
Face painting, a bounce house and a game of horse shoes were just some of the activities children enjoyed. This event was sponsored by Sam's Club and the Glenwood Improvement Board.
Bruce Taylor of the Improvement Board says, "We want our community to be something special and a place that's safe for everybody and some where we can enjoy, so this is just one of many events we got planned to host here at Henry Davis Park."
Members of the Glenwood community in Panama City have worked for years to revitalize the area. The event was one way of adding a "sense of community.”
