A local woman who was the victim of a car burglary two months ago is still trying to get over the ordeal. She's a musician and all her equipment was stolen on Christmas Eve.
Sunday, Suzanne Stewart's friends and fellow musicians gathered to raise money so that she can make music again soon.
The Hawk's Nest restaurant in downtown Panama City is hosting the music on the Bayou fundraiser.
Local musicians began playing around 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon and kept the music going until after 10 p.m. Sunday night.
Kathryn Miller, a friend, says Stewart was visiting family in south Florida for the holiday when her equipment was stolen.
"She went to a gated community, locked her car, went upstairs and had dinner. When she returned to her car, she and eight others had been broken into and she lost everything."
