Air Force Scandal Sends One to Prison

The former chief top arms buyer for the U.S. Air Force is now in prison in Marianna.

Fifty-seven-year-old Darleen Druyun surrendered to authorities at the Federal Women's Prison in Marianna Tuesday to begin a nine-month sentence.

Druyun admitted she showed favoritism to the Boeing Corporation as far back as 1993.

She did so in-exchange for a $250,000 a year job for herself, and jobs for her daughter and son-in-law.

The scandal also prompted Air Force Secretary James Roche, and his acquisitions chief Marvin Sambur to resign. They leave office this month.
