Water pressure has been a problem in Graceville for a long time, but it won't be much longer.
City officials broke ground Tuesday for construction of a new water tower. It will be located near the Florida Baptist College, Graceville High School, and Graceville Hospital.
The tower will hold 150,000 gallons of water, creating more water pressure to homes and businesses.
Charles Holmien, Graceville Mayor, says, "It was just something we needed for Graceville and also Graceville is expanding and everything. We're gonna need these new facilities and everything. This is gonna help us expand. Growth in this section of town, this will be vital to that."
This will be Graceville's third water tower. It's scheduled to be finished by April of this year.
