A Massachusetts man visiting the Florida Panhandle died Saturday in a car accident on Highway 98 in Walton County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol and witnesses, 84-year-old Windsor Beebee pulled his white Chevrolet car out in front of a black Ford SUV driven by 63-year-old Lloyd Emert of Tennessee.
The crash happened just after 1 p.m. Saturday at the corner of County Road 395 and Highway 98.
Beebee was not wearing a seat belt. His car rolled twice. He died at the scene. His passenger, 88-year-old Eleanor Beesley, was taken to a hospital.
According to the FHP, the two people inside the SUV were not seriously injured.
