Authorities say two children were killed when the sport utility vehicle their mother was driving overturned on Interstate 10, ejecting all four people who were inside.
A Florida Highway Patrol report says Lori Ann Baxley was speeding about five miles west of DeFuniak Springs Saturday afternoon when she tried to pass a car by swerving onto a grass median.
Baxley overcorrected, causing the Chevrolet Tahoe to roll several times. Madison Baxley, 8, died at the scene. Her brother Nathan, 6, died at a hospital. The mother and a four-year-old daughter are expected to recover.
Her husband, the children's father, was following in another car and watched it all happen.
