Panama City - Panama City property owners that receive five or more police complaints in a month could face fines.
City commissioners passed a new chronic nuisance ordinance. If police receive five complaints about a business or homeowner in a month, the city then could classify that property as a chronic nuisance and enforce fines.
Many Realtors and representatives from the Panama City Rescue Mission spoke out against the ordinance Tuesday saying it's too vague and will discourage people from calling 911 when they need help.
