Northwest Florida Man Who Protected His Meth Lab With Bombs Gets 45 Years

A Florida man is going to prison for 45 years on counts having to do with drugs, pipe bombs and other incendiary devices.

Authorities say Gregory Truette of Greenhead was trying to protect a methamphetamine operation.

He pleaded guilty in federal court in Panama City.

The 32-year-old man was arrested about a year ago for violating
probation. That's when authorities found he was carrying
methamphetamine.
That prompted a search of his Washington County property, about 35 miles north of Panama City. That's where bombs and other devices
were found. Some were rigged as booby traps
