The Calhoun County grand jury in Blountstown has issued an indictment for Edkah Marshall for the charges of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, and robbery with a firearm.
Marshall was arrested by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the March 1, 2005 shooting death of his grandmother, Ruby West Sansom, and the shooting of Gerald Wells, who was a friend of Mrs. Sansom.
Mr. Wells has recovered from the shooting.
State Attorney Steve Meadows told NewsChannel Seven the maximum possible penalty for the murder charge is death. The maximum for the other two charges is life in prison.
Marshall is in custody without bond at the Calhoun County Jail in Blountstown. An arraignment date is yet to be set.
