Panama City police say they have broken up a string of car burglaries with the arrests of two people early Monday morning.
One was identified as 24-year-old Gary Tabares. The other identified only as a 16-year-old local boy.
Patrolmen arrested the pair in the parking lot of the Red Lobster restaurant at the
Panama City Mall.
Detectives say Tabares and the teenager also are suspected of breaking into other cars at the Golden Corral restaurant on 23rd Street and the Winn-Dixie grocery store at Transmitter Road and U.S. 231.
Both suspects face a number of charges.
