Bay County authorities are stepping up their efforts in finding an Alabama woman who's been missing for more than 24-hours. The Bay County sheriff's helicopter hovered over Thomas Drive this morning to get more information on the missing woman's whereabouts.

Investigators say 52-year old Pamela Biggers from Hueytown, Alabama was reported missing between 7 p-m last Sunday and early Monday morning.

Biggers and a female friend checked-in to the La Quinta Inn on Thomas Drive Sunday night.

Officials say Mrs. Biggers left all her belongings, including her purse, money and her car at the hotel. She was last seen wearing a white sweater and black pin striped pants.

.
The ground search started yesterday with the helicopter joining the effort today.

Sheriff’s investigators say they have no clues as to the missing woman’s whereabouts. The search is continuing.

In regards to the missing Alabama woman,Her husband made a comment about how a times she forgets where she is at, my thought is, if that be the case then why in the world is she on an out of town business trip in the first place?

I wish there was something the locals, here could do to assist. I listen to the helicopters above and feel so helpless. Do Mrs. Biggers' co-workers or rooommate have any idea where she may have gone? This is a busy area, but there are lots of people around, and the hotel is in a well lit area, even though there is construction...The family is in my prayers.

This is my friend's mother. If anyone knows anything about any volunteer searches, please post something. We have talked to him and he is actually still in Hueytown waiting while the rest of the family is down there searching. He is probably going this weekend. If there is a volunteer search, I would drop everything to help him, but at this point he hasn't said anything about a volunteer search. Thanks. I agree with Beth...someone had to see something.

Are they having a volunteer search for her? I drove by the hotel and there is so much construction in that area. Could she have possibly wandered off and tripped and fell? Have all of the buildings been searched? Were's there any surveillance camceras? Is there a lounge? I can't believe no one saw her in the building after 7 p.m. Surely someone saw something.
