Searchers recovered the body of a missing woman off the coast at Pensacola Beach at noon on Tuesday.
The woman is believed to be one of two people who failed to return from a fishing trip Monday in the Gulf.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission launched an air and sea search Monday night looking for the 27-year-old man and his 20-year-old fiancée.
The couple's 21-foot pleasure boat was found sunk in about 90 feet of water about 10 miles from shore in an area known as the “Russian Freighter.”
The search for the missing man continues. The woman’s body was recovered and has been taken to Escambia County Medical Examiner’s Office in Pensacola for and autopsy and positive identification.
