We'd all like to strike it rich. It's a dream that apparently landed a Panama City Beach teenager behind bars.
Bay County sheriff's deputies arrested 18-year-old Luke Allen Brown for stealing scratch-off Florida Lottery tickets. They say while working at the Winn-Dixie supermarket on Front Beach Road, Brown scratched the sequence numbers off $95 worth of scratch-off tickets.
He allegedly put all the losing tickets back in the cabinet to be sold.
Deputies say Brown was caught when he cashed a winning ticket worth $500 and pocketed the money.
