Chipley City Councilman Roger Sloan is facing a public reprimand and a fine for retaliating against Chipley city employees.
Last month state Ethics Commission investigators had found probable cause to believe allegations from a number of city employees made against Sloan.
He and the ethics staff have now worked out a deal.
Sloan admits to retaliating or threatening to retaliate against city employees and agrees to pay a 15-hundred dollar fine. In exchange, he gets the reprimand.
The Ethics Commission still has to approve the deal at next month's meeting. Commissioners could accept or reject it.
