It didn’t take long for a six-member Bay County Circuit Court jury to come up with a not guilty verdict in the trial of a local teenager.
Nineteen-year-old Barry Davis was acquitted on two counts of attempted first degree murder.
The former Bay High School student was accused of breaking into a Panama City Beach home and shooting a mother and daughter. They were in their living room at the time.
The jury heard testimony that Davis allegedly shot the two women as a favor for a friend. The friend was a former boyfriend of the younger woman.
Davis claims he was with friends somewhere else at the time of the shooting.
The jury deliberated about an hour before coming up with the not guilty verdict on all charges.
