A Florida Panhandle soldier has been killed in Iraq.
The Department of Defense says he was killed when a civilian fuel truck crashed into his Army vehicle.
Sergeant First Class Brett Eugene Walden was a native of Fort Walton Beach. He was assigned to the First Battalion, Fifth Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Walden was killed in the crash on Friday in Rubiah, Iraq. A Kentucky soldier was killed and two others were injured in the collision. They were on a convoy mission when the civilian fuel truck collided with their Humvee.
Walden originally had gone to Afghanistan for one tour of duty. He just recently started his fourth tour in Iraq.
Walden is survived by his wife and 12-year-old daughter, who live in Dover, Pennsylvania.
