I think that is where alot of people have it wrong. There is no reason for the boy to go back to jail, that little girl knew exactly what she was doing he did not force here she did it on her own. The girls parents always want to put the guys in jail just to make the problem go away but it is not the boy it is the girl. He didn't go in her house she left with him. I think it was wrong for him to trick her mind like that but he is being a typical guy at his age doing what they do. He is not right for what he has done but he does not have to go to jail for making a stupid mistake. What will happen to the little girl? She probably lied about her age anyway.

I have to agree with Amanda, the girl KNEW what she was going to 'do'. What is going to happen to her? nothing. Do NOT throw ALL the blame on the boy, she didnt get dragged out of her room and to the beach, right? This goes along with the GGW issue too, those 'poor, innocent girls' KNEW what they were doing as well.

This young man should have initailly been sent to the juvenile system, however, if he is still on probation, why is family allowing him to be UNSUPERVISED, at SPRING BREAK...that is just setting him up for failure!!!!!

I agree with Kristina. Application of the statuory rape law was NEVER intended to put teenagers having consentual sex with a sexually mature teenage in jail. Thank the morons in Tallahasse for this one.

Although I don't condone sex at 13, I have to wonder if both of the "children" were 13 what would happen. And you can bet the girl is more than aware of her sexuality. Awareness of sex, safe sex, no sex is pushed on children in elementary school age. Advertising and television don't help, neither do the video games kids, much younger than 13 play. I know parents don't want to think about their kids,no matter what their age, having sex. I personally have a 13 old son, he and I have discussed him having sex. He expressed his desire to wait. No the kid does not need to be throw in prison for life, he does however need to find an older girlfriend.

George, you obviously never made mistakes as a child, Kace just turned 17 not 2 weeks ago, about 14 days after getting out of prison for a mistake he made at 14. Our Mother died 1/15/06 he went in to a MAN's prison a month later. I am his sister, and I know he isn't the sick kid you think he is. He is a sweet kid, that was put in a bad situation by adults at 14 and he paid for it. He was only in P.C. for spring break, as I'm sure the 13 yr old girl was. No where did it say he forced her out of her room, nor how old she told him she was did it? This will take away the rest of his life, another child abused by adults, for adults, and paid the price as an adult, but still only a child.....lost. We as adults and the system that put him as a child away for 2 years in a man's prison should be ashamed. Just proof we as adults are failing our children, and George, I pray no children you care for make a mistake, we know what your immediate opinion will be.

Unbelievable. This kid needs to be thrown in prison for life. You are right. He is stupid and insolent for putting that girl's life at stake

I thinks these cases where both are minors and clearly the girl new what she was doing are wrong, why even have an age of accountabilty if we don't adhere to it!!! he is not a sex affender just a stupid kid!!!
