A Calhoun County man is in the county jail at Blountstown accused of breaking into an Altha home and stabbing the owner.
Deputies arrested 20-year-old James Robert Bailey early Monday morning.
When lawmen arrived at the Altha area home they say Bailey was fighting with 62-year-old Cecil Golden. Both men were covered with blood.
Apparently Bailey stabbed golden with a small steak knife he found in the home.
One of the deputies used a taser on Bailey twice to arrest him.
Authorities say Bailey had run from police on Sunday, stole a truck on Panama City Beach and was trying to get back home.
He told deputies he broke into Golden’s house to steal gas money.
