After celebrating St. Patty's Day, you might be hungry for some pancakes in the morning. Volunteers with "Beach Break" are ready to help you out.

"It's just something we enjoy doing," said a volunteer.

The group of volunteers comes from all over the country. Most of them are spring breakers themselves, trying to help keep other students safe.

The daily free pancakes are just a part of Beach Reach's mission. They also offer free rides every night for any student who needs one.

"We talked to some girls last night that the previous night they hitchhiked with a man they didn't know for an hour and they admitted they were scared. We kind of want to take away that fear, and we can't pick up everybody, but if we can pick up a few that makes a difference," said Erin Crumby, a student volunteer.

"We don't come to pass judgment, and that's one thing that's really caught them off guard. Because they get in our vans and are expecting a sermon, but hey, we just want to give you a free ride to make sure you're ok," said Allen Elkins, Beach Reach leader.

As for the free breakfast, coordinators say they're serving more than 900 students a day.

"It really makes me happy, so joyful, because I know this is something we as Christians are called to do is love on people and may they know they are loved," said Leah Vest, a student volunteer.

The free rides are offered from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. You can call 850-832-3000. Coordinators say it's hard to get through at times, so don't give up.

The free pancakes are at Rock-It Lanes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both will run through this Thursday, March 20th.
