I watched this trial from start to finish. I believe A.J. Hutto is a young boy, and yes heard over and over again thoughts and allegations can be put in his head, but not a story like the one he told, a little boy his age I don't believe can make up a story about his mother's hand over his sister's face, he had a credible story and was clearly upset when testifying about it. I think it is horrible and Amanda Lewis got what she deserved. There are so many people out there whom cannot have children and the people who are blessed with them do stuff like this.

A few comments regarding those who say the boy's testimony is flawed, lacks credibility, and should probably not be used. If your 6 year old daughter came to you telling you how she was molested, is her story flawed, is she not credible? Children are far more truthful than adults, yet lack the ability to mentally organize events they witness. Not all children need a psychiatrist or other mental health professional present when being questioned. How do I know this? Because I lived it and I believed every word my child said. At 3 years old she was quite credible and her story was flawless. Remember, this little boy offered up the basic facts to his maternal grandfather/grandparents on the ride to the hospital, no one had even considered the possibility of foul play at that time. There is plenty of evidence to corroborate his recollection of events. This boy deserves support, love, and compassion. A very sad story for everyone involved, especially the little boy.

Words have different meaning based on age, intellect, race, socio-economics, regional, etc. In the police interview AJ said that his mom drowned Adrianna twice. Once before she left in the car and once after she returned. Therefore, the word "drown" has a different meaning to AJ than the common dictionary meaning. All too often, people ascribe their own fears, meaning, etc. rather than actually looking at the facts as presented.

Children's testimony is 99.9 per cent flawed, in 99.9 per cent of cases. It should rarely be taken into account. Someone very likely influenced the little boy into telling tales about his mother, and now he will be without her the rest of his life.

omg!this is just awful,you can only wonder why the first thing that came out of that little boys mouth was,my mama drowned my sister,he must have witnessed adrianna and her mom in that kinda of situation for him to say this and not,my mama was trying to save my sister!GOD BLESS HIM!

Terri, you seem like a nice caring lady. However, I am in their community and sat thru the trial. If you saw it all start to finish and also knew the situation before and after, you would have a different feeling. There was expert testimony from psychiatrists supporting AJ as well as medical examiners and coworkers, emts, doctors and firemen. The defense attorney confused AJ, just like they do adults. She did it. There were other lies on the stand. Court TV doesnt show everything.

the boy was incredible and the defense kept on putting words in his mouth. it was obvious that the child was exhausted and confused, nevertheless, the mother looked at him with no emotion. this woman has no heart and probably killed her first born also. she does not deserve any consideration. i wonder who will care for this precious boy who like his sister had a horrible upbringing with his mother. i don't believe that adrianne was a problem child, she was reacting to her mother's psychosis and lack of affection towards her. the bed-wetting is a call for help that something is really wrong and will do this to get attention from a parent even if it involves pain. i am sure that the girl was terrified of the water because the mother used that tactic as discipline, only with her. i wonder how the mother was brought up to make her so hard and cold. the boyfriend is lucky to be free from this woman who like other child killers pretend to be victims. her expression during the trial was fake.

Lack of credibility on AJ's testimony was most definitely established yet permitted to be used WITHOUT a professional psychiatrist etc brought in to support or monitor the process. The were several inconsistencies & contradictions in AJ's testimony. No questions were asked to establish how the children were disciplined as a rule. I'd love to be able to assist Amanda Lewis in any way I possibly can. If it is possible to allow me to have info on how I can correspond with her, I'd love to. I'm a Nat' Guard soldier of 29 yrs (full-time over 20 yrs), a mother of 3, grandmother of 16 and a Christian. I know in my heart that we have done a grave injustice to Amanda and my heart goes out to her GREATLY! Please provide me info on how to reach this poor soul. I've so many more OBVIOUS reasons that were stated in the case that I TOTALLY believe in her innocence & wish to be able to contact her. God Bless her, Terri

I believe A.J. Houtt's testimony was credible against his mother when his sister died. Remember it has been a couple of months since this happened and A.J. is still very young and he may not be able to remember everything he said back then. I am just sorry that he had to take part in testifying against his mother.
