Rhodes Furniture Will Be Closing All of its Northwest Florida Stores

The district manager says the stores in Panama City, Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola will be among those closed as part of the Rhodes bankruptcy proceedings.

Atlanta-based Rhodes filed for bankruptcy in November.

Tuesday afternoon, wire service reports indicate Florida based "Rooms to Go" furniture has acquired the Rhodes chain.

Inquiries made to the Panama City store were referred to corporate headquarters, which at this point have not responded.

Rhodes was formerly owned by the Heilig Myers chain, which also went bankrupt.
