An area young man is in critical condition after he fell into a bonfire early Wednesday morning. The mishap occurred in a popular area frequented by area youth known as "devils hole".
It’s located just inside the Washington County line on Econfina Creek.
Sources tell NewsChannel Seven the victim, whose name was not immediately available, tripped and fell into the bonfire shortly before 1 AM.
His friends loaded him in a car and started to head to Panama City when they met an ambulance which then brought him to a local hospital.
He was flown by air ambulance late this morning to an Augusta, Georgia burns center and we are told he is in very critical condition.
