Today school board members named Denise Kelley as Breakfast Point's top administrator.
Kelley started as a paraprofessional in Bay District Schools in 1989 before teaching for eight years. For the last nine years she's worked at Beach Elementary, first as assistant principal, and currently as principal.
Kelley says it's every administrator's dream to be able to open up a new school.
"It's my vision to build a community of learners, both adults and students, as well as build a community of grace where people are respected and valued for their differences. And I promise to do my best to build another A plus school on Panama City Beach," said Denise Kelley, Breakfast Point Academy's first principal.
Breakfast Point opens up this fall and will house students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
