A Panama City man is headed back to prison, and he will be there for a very long time. Antonio Smith is the career criminal who killed Derrick Smith when the victim and a companion tried to steal crack cocaine from a female dealer at the Pana Villa Apartments last May.
Derrick Smith was shot to death when he tried to leave in his pickup after taking $60 worth of crack from the woman and not paying for it.
A jury Wednesday took about an hour and a half to find Antonio Smith guilty of manslaughter with a firearm.

Smith has been in and out of prison over the past 15 years. His latest release came just ten months before the fatal shooting
