A Panama City man is behind bars after allegedly stealing more than 5-grand from his employer and getting into a car chase with Panama City police officers.
46-years old Kenneth James Richardson is charged with 7 counts of grand theft, eluding police and violating probation.
Investigators say Richardson is alleged to have stolen 6 checks at his work at the Auto Network on East 15th street. They say he also took money from car sales in March, cashing in more than 5-thousand dollars.
Detectives tried to arrest him Wednesday but he fled the area, leading the police in a car chase.
That chase soon ended in the 800 block of East Avenue.
