Thunderbirds Arrive at Tyndall

The Gulf Coast Salute Air Show is Saturday and a team of Air Force pilots arrived on Thursday in preparation.

The United States Air Force Thunderbirds touched down at Tyndall Air Force Base around 3PM.

The Thunderbirds are celebrating their 55th year serving as one of the representatives of the over 500,000 airmen and women that serve in the Air Force.

Two pilots in the Thunderbirds are coming home.

Lt. Col Greg Thomas, who is the commander of the Thunderbirds, started his flight career at Tyndall.

Major Samantha Meeks, who is the only female pilot, also began at Tyndall Air Force Base.

They are both excited to be back where it all began for them.
