Two Trucks Sought in Ft. Walton Beach Hit and Run

Ft. Walton Beach police are asking for your help finding the people who hit and killed a Honduran man this past weekend.

The victim was 25-year-old David Cosco. Police say he hit a utility pole around 4 a.m. Sunday at the corner of Beal Parkway and Alabama Street.

Police say Cosco got out of his car after hitting the pole and started running along Beal Parkway. That’s when a pick-up truck hit him.

The impact knocked him into the path of another truck, which ran over him.

Fort Walton Beach Police Captain Tony Taylor says both pick up truck drivers slowed down and then sped away.

“Our traffic homicide investigator is spending a lot of time on this. Unfortunately, the information is limited. We are going to have to rely on the public to help us.”

Witnesses say both pick up trucks were medium sized. One was light colored and the other was dark.

If you have any information about the case, please call the Okaloosa County Crimestoppers Tips Line at 850-863-TIPS.
