A former Panama City gun range owner will spend nearly five years in prison and must pay thousands of dollars in restitution.
Forty-seven-year-old Mark Anthony Mullins has been sentenced after pleading guilty this week to several federal charges including mail fraud and possession of unregistered machine guns.
Federal authorities say Mullins used the Internet and several fake names to sell a 1938 Thompson Machine Gun for $25,000. Three buyers sent him the money but no of them ever received the gun.
Mullins will serve 58 months in federal prison and must pay back $145,000 to 13 victims.
