Tapestry Park Charter School opened its doors to 75 K-5 students early Thursday morning.
The school will be operating at its temporary location on Lyndell Lane until the permanent site is determined.
Tapestry Park doesn’t have a cafeteria, so the school district provides bag lunches for the students.
The impetus for a charter school at the beach began three years ago, in conjunction with the very successful Bay Haven Academy in Panama City.
Tapestry Park offers small classes, and something the schools leaders say is critical, parental involvement.
