Medical Help Available at Beach Shelter

Staff members from the local Primecare Clinics are set up at the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat, checking out anyone in that Red Cross shelter that thinks they may need medical attention.

The evacuees can see a doctor who can help them with minor medical problems. Many of the evacuees left home in a hurry without their regular medications.

The Primecare staff can write new prescriptions which will be filled at selected local pharmacies for free.

The Primecare staff says they have been busy and are more than happy to help at a time like this. The Red Cross asked Primecare to provide the service for those who left their homes to escape Hurricane Katrina.
