Gulf World crews found the dolphin trapped in a water hazard at the Casino Magic Golf Course in Bay, St. Louis.
This has earned her the name "Magic."
The team was in the area to rescue dolphins and sea lions left homeless after Katrina destroyed the marine life oceanarium in Gulfport.
Saturday, the plan was to teach Magic how to eat handfed food.
Ron Hardy of Gulf World marine park says, "She's lucky to be alive and lucky somebody even saw her and we already addressing the things we need to address, like dehydration and possible infection, but it's a very young dolphin. The dolphin's probably not even a year old."
Gulf World plans to make more trips over to Mississippi to rescue stranded sea life. Each time they go, they bring with them needed supplies for people in the Gulfport area.
