you did a good job sheriff.i too supervise a crew of men.you try and do the best you can,but sometimes it's like raising yunguns all over again.you did the right thing by charging him exactly like you would any other person who has broken the law.it's obvious that this is politicly related.some years ago we watched another deputy get away with arson.when everybody knows it was covered up by the sheriff for 20 years.that sheriff was not you.at least you have the courage,as embarrasing as it is for you,to uphold the law no matter who is commiting the crime.this takes courage and i'm proud of you

I think that Billy is getting exactly what he deserved. Set up or no set up, he shouldn't have did it. And if the Sheriff lets this one slide then he will do it again. So all I have to say about the whole situation is "Lay the law down to him hard!!!"

I feel so sorry for the parents, wife, and children of Mr. Strawn. They must understand that Billy got caught, but that there are many others running loose within the system. I hope they will support him and try to see that he receives counseling and professional help. He should havae never been placed in this position after the experience with his first mistake. Sometimes people are framed and sset up for being caught. NO ONE will ever know the truth about ALL of this situation but my Strawn.

It's about time somebody put those DOGS back on their leashes. It's a good thing the budget was cut by serving sandwiches to the inmates because they are going to need the extra money to pay lawyers fees. Aren't you as happy as I to know that this is how your tax dollars are being spent. This is embarrassing to the entire county. The deputies at our sherriff's office should all be investigated. I'm pretty sure officer Strawn is not the only deputy to abuse his authority. They are supposed to be protecting and serving our citizens, not abusing and harrassing us. In my opinion the investigation needs to start at the top and work it's way to the bottom. If the sherriff's office is this corrupt, then where has the sherriff been? Obviously not doing his job! If he was he would already know how his officers are behaving. Isn't he the head investigator? If not, who is? It's a sad day when you have mickey mouse cops running a disneyland jail.

The incident with billy strawn is small potatoes compared to some of the crimes commited by those swarn to uphold justice in calhoun county.

I know his family and they are the ones who I feel sorry for. They are good people. Don't judge them for the sins of their father and son!

I'M SURE BILLY STRAWN IS NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS COMMITTED A CRIME WHILE WORKING AT THE SHERRIFF DEPARTMENT. THE SUPPOSE TO BE TOP DOGS THERE HAS DONE THINGS TOO, THEY UNFORTUNATELY JUST HASN'T BEEN CAUGHT YET.

It took a recently incarcerated woman to give "good old boy Billy" what he deserves. What are we paying our local County Investigator to do? Mr Strawn should have been fired when he was previously busted which led to his demotion to jailor. It's about time Sheriff Tatum acted in accordance with the law and fired Mr Strawn. I wonder how Mr Strawn is going to con his way out of this one. It sickens me to think that Mr Strawn has bribed or solicited other women and I hope that they too will come forward and let justice be served. Hats off to WJHG Channel 7 for keeping your viewers informed.

People of the United States - You need to look at what secular progression is doing to our country and our people. Good people are going astray! Take God out and the Devil moves in. The devil is the prince of this world. The media is asking why kids are so violent these days. Get a grip and look at what they watch on TV, play on video games, and hear in music. They are simply acting out what they are being fed by a secular society. Look at media, education, religion, finance, family, politics, and est. - are they secular or driven by God? The answer is SECULAR. When ministers can't say what is in the Bible because it may offend someone and he/she may be sued or even jailed...it is secular. When one out of every two marriages ends in divorce - it is secular. When teachers can teach Islam but not Christianity - it is secular. And about gas prices - look at Dubai and you will see where your gas money is going! Better get ready! We are all going to pay for the sins of others.

I'm a family member to the woman in this story. What people don't know is this has been going on now for a while. These deputies are dirty and have been doing this to the women inmates. The Sheriff department is about to be exposed. There are plenty of women out there that have been abused by this. Now is your chance to come forward. Don't be scared. We now have proof of how the calhoun county sheriff office operates.

IIn response to your online poll asking if people are in favor of a 1% sales tax or not. Why don't state and local governments have to tighten thier belts just as they expect us to do? No matter how good or bad the economy seems to be government always seems to grow, and we are expected to fund it's shortfalls. How about reducing more taxes. That is a reall economic stimulator.
