Two high ranking state corrections officials found themselves on the wrong side of the bars Tuesday.
Thirty-six-year-old Col. Richard Allen Frye and 32-year-old Maj. James Bowen were booked into the Jackson County Jail on aggravated assault charges.
The charges stem from a fight at a softball banquet at the National Guard armory in Tallahassee back in April.
Both Frye and Bowen, along with a third man, 30-year-old Bradley Tunnell, were all suspended from their jobs at the Apalachee Correctional Institute in Sneads a couple of weeks ago.
Tunnell was not charged in connection with the fight. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating other allegations involving Frye.
