State troopers are trying to find out how a motorcyclist ended up lying in a ditch for nearly a day without anyone knowing he was there.
Family members found the man around 11:00 Tuesday morning by the side of Highway 388 several miles west of Youngstown.
For now, investigators believe he may have lost control of the bike, ran off into the ditch and then laid there all night. They believe he was lying there for almost 24 hours.
Paramedics took him to a local hospital where doctors are treating him for serious head injuries, but Highway Patrol investigators say some of the facts don't add up. They're trying to find out if this is an accident, or a case of foul play.
If you have any information, please call the Highway Patrol office at 872-4150.
