The man credited with putting George W. Bush in the White House was in town Friday night speaking to the local Republican faithful.
Rove's being invited to appear before the House Judiciary Committee. They want him to answer questions about allegations of politically motivated prosecution. The issue they'll discuss with Rove occurred while serving under the Bush administration.
Apparently they have a testimony claiming the Republican may have unfairly singled out a Democratic governor.
While allegedly picking on former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman, he may have also been putting others on the back burner.
"You'd think Don Siegelman would have to prove it rather than allege it. There's nobody who's come forward to say yeah I'm the one the public integrity section at the U.S. Justice Department, and we were pressured to bring this. The career prosecutor says I never talked to anyone from Washington. I developed this case here in Alabama and brought the case and brought it before a judge and jury where was found guilty."
Rove's denying any talk of being subpoenaed, but says the house judiciary committee just wants to simply talk with him. Rove was Bush's chief political strategist during both of his elections, and he held several positions in the administration.
If you didn't know already, the former deputy chief of staff has a home in Rosemary Beach.

STOP! Don't make us pay for the car companies mistakes!!! We've really got a good idea that would stimulate every industry having to do with automobiles, and more. Instead of just giving the auto companies the billions of bail-out money, give incentive to the American people to buy American made cars for 1/2 the price. For every already made car and truck on the lots sold, the auto industry would get 1/2 the money from the gov. and the other 1/2 would (maybe) come from bank loans. American's would find hope in this economy again. New trucks for small businesses, new cars in families that couldn't afford them before. This would stimulate the auto manufacturers with new money to start making the more green cars, the car sales lots, the banks, the steel industry, the people, etc, etc. Patriotism! Please! HELP! and Thank You!!! Ava and Sherman Lightle. Thank God for a Free Country where our voice is heard!
