A Panama City college and a local car dealership are making sizeable donations to the Katrina relief efforts.
Checks totaling more than $30,000 were presented to the Red Cross Thursday at Gulf Coast Community College.
More than $17,000 came from donations from students and faculty at Gulf Coast. Over $13,000 was also given to the Red Cross from Tommy Thomas Chevrolet.
The money will be used for disaster relief in Louisiana and Mississippi as well as to support Gulf Coast's sister college, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
