There's new information coming out of Chipley involving last week's murder of a Hispanic man.
Last Wednesday night Enrique Caramillo showed up at Northwest Florida Community Hospital with stab wounds to his stomach.
He was airlifted to an Alabama hospital where he died a short time later. Police believe the murder happened at the mobile home park where Caramillo lived.
They've now issued arrest warrants for Pedro Blancas Santa Maria, a Hispanic man in his early 50's, who's being charged with an open count of murder, and for Santa Maria's nephew, Adolfo Santa Maria. He is wanted for tampering with evidence.
Investigators say they have reason to believe that Pedro Blancas Santa Maria is no longer in the Washington County area.
Kevin Crews, Chipley Police Chief, says, “Right now, we're working with Texas officials. We do believe the night this incident happened we got information that leads us to believe that he possibly went back to Texas where we believe he's from."
Santa Maria may be driving a grey-over-white Dodge van with red or burgundy stripes down the side and Texas license plates.
