Thanks to your generosity following Hurricane Katrina, NewsChannel Seven and a number of area businesses were able to hand over a check totaling more than $96,000 to the American Red Cross Wednesday.
The checks were presented live during “NewsChannel Seven Today” to Bob Pearce, the Executive Director of the Central Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross.
NewsChannel Seven presented a check for $79,000. That was how much money you put into our Hurricane Katrina relief fund we set up with People's First Community Bank.
Also donating Wednesday were Knology, Mr. Surf's and O'Charley's Restaurant.
