Florida had the fasted job growth rate of the ten most populous states in October, and the highest number of new jobs in the country.
New unemployment numbers for the month of October, which were released Friday, show all counties in this area have lower jobless rates.
Locally, here in Bay County the unemployment rate for October was 3.5 percent, down a tenth of a point from September. Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, and Holmes counties also showed similar declines.
The jobless rate in October also dropped to record lows in Jackson, Liberty, Okaloosa, Walton, and Washington counties.
Florida's unemployment rate is now at a record low 3.4 percent statewide. Nationally, it's five percent.
