Assistant Principal Could Be Punished For Sexual Harassment

The Assistant Principal of Sneads High School is facing disciplinary action for sexual harassment.

A female school bus driver claims John Henry Hamilton touched her inappropriately and made a number of sexual suggestive comments when he was transportation director for Jackson County schools.

Hamilton is not contesting the compliant, but does not have to admit or deny the charges.

Later this month, the Florida Education Practices Commission will rule on a proposed settlement, which calls for Hamilton be reprimanded, placed on a 3-year probation, take ethics and sexual harassment courses, and pay investigative costs.

The school board already suspended Hamilton for two months without pay and demoted him to assistant principal at Grand Ridge School. He later transferred to Sneads High School.
