Dothan authorities hope a $1,000 reward will lead to a suspect in the shooting death of a 51-year-old man, the city's eighth homicide this year.
Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska says the reward is offered for an arrest in the Thursday night shooting of Travis Earl Stringer.
Stringer was shot in the back at a residence and died later at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Police Captain Nick Monday says the victim may have known the gunman, but they haven't identified a suspect yet.
