Twenty-six-year-old John Alleman may be charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, but Bay County sheriff’s deputies say a Panama City Beach man’s intentions were quite the opposite.
Alleman called 911 and told operators “something bad was about to happen.” Two deputies were sent to Alleman’s apartment on Allison Ave at the beach.
They say he pulled a knife, walked towards one of the deputies and said, “shoot me, kill me.”
The two lawmen manage to lure the man outside, pepper sprayed him and the arrested him.
They believe Alleman’s intentions were to commit suicide-by-cop.
Alleman was being held in the Bay County Jail.
