Nineteen local teenagers are stating a new life with a clean slate and a ticket to success, their diplomas.
The 19 are members of the newest graduating class from the Panama City Marine Institute. The PCMI Day Treatment Program takes in “At Risk” teens that may be having a problem functioning in a normal school setting.
Case managers and treatment teams work together with parents to help these teens learn the skills necessary to be successful in life.
PCMI has graduated hundreds of students since opening in 1974; most go on to lead successful lives.
Friday’s 19 graduates all earned high school diplomas on a GED.
