After a six-month-long investigation, Bay County sheriff’s deputies have confiscated eight pounds of marijuana and over $28,000 in cash in a raid on a Panama City home Friday.
Deputies arrested Anthony Pillato, who they say was selling drugs out of his Panama City home.
Besides marijuana, lawmen say they found assorted prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. They also seized some firearms and hollow point ammunition.
State Attorney Steve Meadows says the most damaging evidence may be the cash.
“We have seized $28,000 and the information we received says the money is the proceeds from drug sales, so it’s been profitable for him, but now he’s going to have to pay the price.”
Pillato was lodged in the Bay County Jail pending a first court appearance over the weekend.
