Panama City Police Investigate Hit and Run Car

The Panama City Police Department is now investigating the car that was involved in a deadly hit and run. The department received a tip that the car was spotted at a residence on the beach just a few hours ago. It is now in custody of the police but they are still searching for the driver.

Ethan's Uncle Edward Mincey says, "You know at this point in time it's just hard to believe. It's hard to understand."

21 year old Ethan Tyler Casey had just turned 21 a few months ago.

"And just a few days after he turned 21 he got a motorcycle. His cars kept breaking down and he got a motorcycle and man he thought, you know, he thought it was the greatest thing that ever happened."

But last night as Casey rode his motorcycle out of the parking lot of "Bingo Paradise", he was hit by a car identified by investigators as a gray Camaro.

The car drove off, leaving his family wondering what could have happened. "We've heard a lot of negative comments. He didn't have his helmet on or he didn't do this or he didn't do that. That's neither here nor there. We're just hoping that whoever is at fault. You know, that justice is found."

Ethan Tyler Casey was pronounced dead at a local hospital last night. Today, the family and panama city police are focusing on finding the hit and run driver.

Panama City Police are seeking a permit to close down certain areas of the road to continue investigations some time this week.
