Panhandle authorities say they are investigating the second murder suicide in as many days.
Escambia County officials say the bodies of 50-year-old Harlon Adams and 38-year-old Lisa Cyrus were found inside their home shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
A sheriff's spokesman says Adams apparently shot his wife, Cyrus, and then turned the gun on himself. Cyrus' three children, ages seven, ten and 13, who also live at the home, didn't witness the shooting and weren't harmed.
In nearby Santa Rosa County, a father and his two children were found dead in a van parked at a church.
Authorities say 34-year-old Scott Michaud, his seven-year-old son Nathan and five-year-old daughter, Crystal, died Monday of carbon monoxide poisoning.
A member of Church of the Living God found the van. The vehicle's engine was running and a hose was attached from the exhaust pipe to the vehicle's back window.
